Did you know that both ABYC and Transport Canada require an audible bilge high-water alarm on boats with sleeping accommodation to indicate that bilge water is approaching the maximum bilge water level?  It makes sense - you'd want to know your boat is sinking if you're asleep...but this is something that is lacking on most recreational vessels.
